dometic-s4-1100x450-sliding-window
Dometic S4 1100x450 Sliding Window

A Dometic S4 1100 x 450mm horizontal sliding caravan and motorhome window, with double acrylic glazing, a polyurethane frame, and an integrated fly screen and blackout blind.

Why This Product

If your caravan or motorhome's 1100x450 window has cracked, yellowed, or started leaking around the seal, a genuine Dometic S4 replacement restores a weathertight, insulated opening without having to modify your existing cut-out. It's a well-documented standard size in the Dometic S4 range, so blinds, flyscreens and seals stay available if you ever need spares later. For Western Cape touring, from hot coastal days to cold nights inland, the horizontal slide gets you ventilation without a hinge swinging out over a nearby awning, bed, or bench, and the built-in blind and flyscreen mean you're not sourcing those separately.

Key Features

Double acrylic glazing set in a polyurethane frame for thermal insulation

Integrated pleated fly screen for insect protection

Built-in aluminium-coated darkening/blackout blind, adjustable independently of the flyscreen

Smooth horizontal sliding sash, needing no swing clearance unlike a hinged window

Safety catch that prevents the window being opened from outside

Straightforward installation using the S4's trimmable inner frame

Ideal For

Replacing a cracked, yellowed, or leaking 1100x450 sliding window of the same nominal size

A caravan or motorhome renovation where old single-glazed windows are being upgraded

Owners who want ventilation near a kitchenette, bed, or bench where a hinge's swing would be in the way

Builders fitting out a new trailer or camper shell to the S4 window standard

Local Support from 4Matt Campers

We stock and supply the Dometic S4 range from our base in Bellville, Cape Town, serving customers across the Western Cape and beyond. The S4 range is built around a trimmable inner frame that typically covers wall thicknesses from roughly 26mm to 41mm, so check your panel thickness falls in that range. Because the sash slides sideways rather than swinging out, this sliding S4 needs less external clearance than a hinged window of the same size - useful where an awning rail or fitting sits close by.

Complete Your Setup

Renovating more of the caravan?
