The Fiamma Rafter is a telescopic aluminium support rod that props up the centre of a box awning's canopy, so the fabric stays tight instead of sagging and pooling water. It's aimed at owners of Fiamma F45, F65 or F80 awnings who want less flap noise and a flatter roofline in windy or wet weather.
A box awning canopy that isn't held up in the middle tends to sag over time, which lets rainwater collect in the dip and lets the fabric flap noisily in a breeze. This rod extends underneath the canopy and locks at the length you need, pulling the fabric taut without any drilling or glue, and it's easy to unclip and stow away in the supplied wall clips when you're not using it.
Our Cape Town team can help confirm the right length setting for your awning's extension.

What does the rafter do?
It's a support rod that tensions the awning canopy so it doesn't sag, pool water or flap in wind.
Which awnings does it fit?
Fiamma F45, F65 and F80 series box awnings, plus some other brands using the included end caps.
Do I need tools to fit it?
No, it clips on by hand, with no drilling and no marks left on the canopy.
Is there a curved version?
Yes, Fiamma also makes a curved Rafter Pro version for extra door clearance, sold separately.
