The RCV goes on once the valve core is out, so a clean seal at the top of the valve stem matters. Work through these points when you fit it.

• Take the existing valve core out with the multi-tool from the box before you screw the RCV on.
• Look at the tip of the valve stem. A flat, smooth tip is what gives the RCV a good seal, and a fine-grit nail file will square it off if it is rough.
• If it leaks after fitting, remove the RCV, file the stem tip flat and square, and add three or four wraps of Teflon tape to the stem threads before you refit it.
• Ask us before ordering if you are unsure that your wheels or valves suit it, and have a tyre professional help if you are not confident doing the install yourself.
