The Ironman 4x4 Kinetic Snatch Rope (12,500kg, 9m) is designed to stretch under load, storing kinetic energy that helps free a stuck vehicle without the sudden jolt of a static strap. Its loops carry an anti-abrasion coating for longer service life.
A static tow strap can snap a stuck vehicle free too abruptly, straining both vehicles and their recovery points. This kinetic rope is built to stretch instead, so the pulling force builds gradually and releases as a smoother tug. The anti-abrasion coating on its loops is there to help it hold up to repeated recoveries.
Our Cape Town team can help you check that the 12,500kg rating suits your vehicle before you order.
Before you order, please check:
Pair it with a recovery board from our off-road recovery collection, browse more Ironman 4x4 recovery gear, or see our wider 4x4 accessories.
What's this rope rated for?
It's rated at 12,500kg, over a 9m length.
How is a kinetic rope different from a normal tow strap?
It's designed to stretch, storing energy gradually rather than snatching a vehicle free abruptly.
What's included with the rope?
One kinetic rope, a neoprene protective sleeve, a mesh drying bag and a velcro wrap strap.
Do I need a damper on the line?
Yes, using a damper and keeping bystanders clear is good practice with any kinetic recovery.
