This Ironman 4x4 Foam Cell Performance shock absorber (part 24650FE) is sold by part number rather than by vehicle. Gas and hydraulic fluid are kept apart to reduce cavitation, inside a twin-wall steel design tuned to suit the vehicle. Send us your vehicle's make, model, year and engine and we will confirm fit before you order.
Corrugations, rocky tracks and a vehicle full of camping gear are hard work for any shock. Once the damper loses its grip, the vehicle floats, bounces and tires the driver out. Foam Cell shocks use an oversized twin-wall steel body and foam cell technology, with ride control and shock cooling as the main aims. This is the Performance version, so ask us how it compares with the Comfort tuning for your vehicle and load. Send us your vehicle details and we will confirm this part number is the right one for it.
Based in Cape Town, we help owners choose Ironman 4x4 suspension parts that suit their vehicle and load, and we can advise on fitting.
No vehicle is attached to part 24650FE, which means fit is confirmed from your vehicle rather than assumed.

Which vehicle does part 24650FE fit?
It is sold by part number, so we confirm fit from your vehicle. Send us the make, model, year and engine and we will check it for you.
What is foam cell technology?
It keeps the gas and the hydraulic fluid apart inside the shock, so cavitation is reduced.
What is the difference between Comfort and Performance versions?
Comfort valving leans towards ride comfort, while Performance is the alternative tuning. How they feel depends on your vehicle and load, so ask us which suits you.
What are the shock's sizes?
It has an 18mm rod, a 40mm piston and a 64mm body.
Can I fit it myself and does it have a warranty?
We recommend professional fitting followed by a wheel alignment. Ask us about warranty when you enquire.
