This Ironman 4x4 IM2.5 shock absorber (part 72-057-796) is specified for the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 2007-2023. Its 2.5-inch aluminium monotube body, internal floating piston and vehicle-specific tuning are aimed at all-day comfort.
Heat is a big problem for shock absorbers on long, rough tracks, and aluminium manages it better than steel. The IM2.5 uses an extruded aluminium monotube body and a large 57mm piston that allows fine valving, aimed at a smooth, plush ride from suburban roads to rocky high-country tracks. On a Toyota Land Cruiser 200, the part number matters, because each shock is tuned for its own vehicle.
Based in Cape Town, we help owners choose Ironman 4x4 suspension parts that suit their vehicle and load, and we can advise on fitting.
Because the tuning is vehicle-specific, the part number and the vehicle need to match.
