A Genie from 4Matt Campers is never a box off a shelf. You buy the platform, then we build the camp around you in our own Bellville workshop — and you are never locked into one brand. This is the core of what we do: we're a full 4x4 and camping outfitter as well as the authorised Metalian dealer, so your trailer leaves here specced the way you travel.

Alongside the brands above, the full Metalian option range is available. The weight beside each option is its approximate added weight, to help you plan payload and tow setup. Even a fully optioned Genie with a tent runs only ±450–500 kg — still comfortably under 750 kg and Code B friendly.

Can I fit any brand of rooftop tent to a Metalian Genie?

Yes — that's central to how we sell. We stock and fit iKamper (Skycamp 3.0, Skycamp DLX, X-Cover, Blue Dot Voyager), Alu-Cab (Gen 3-R, RT-4S), Bundutec BunduTop electric, Ironman 4x4 Orion 1200/1400, Howling Moon Meteor and Lunar, and Metalian's own hardshell and ground tents. If you already own a tent from another brand, we'll mount that too.

What electrical, water and kitchen options can I add?

A full Victron 12 V system (105 Ah lithium battery, BMV-712 monitor, BlueSmart mains charger, SmartSolar MPPT regulator, Orion DC-DC charger, sockets and LED lights), a pumped 85 L water system, a Dometic gas stove with stainless worktop and gas CoC, and a National Luna 60 L dual-control fridge. Beyond Metalian's catalogue we also fit Renogy solar and lithium, Lumeno LED lighting and Flex fridges — all in our workshop.

What vehicle and licence do I need for the Genie?

The base Genie is light enough for a Code B licence and tows easily behind small 4x4s like the Suzuki Jimny. Adding the braked axle and heavier options can change the towing setup, so we confirm the match to your vehicle and licence before you buy.

Can I add to it later?

Absolutely — the Genie is a build-up platform. Start with the base and add braking, a nosecone, a fridge, water, electrical and a tent as your camping style grows.

Can I finance or trade in?

Yes to both. We can help arrange finance and we welcome trade-ins. We are in Bellville, Cape Town with nationwide delivery.
