The Metalian Maxi is the largest trailer in the Metalian range, built for serious storage, real durability and family-friendly touring. This clean white unit is standing on our Cape Town showroom floor, fitted with an iKamper rooftop tent, water and hot water, and ready to go.

This unit comes fitted with an iKamper 3.0 (4-sleeper, black) rooftop tent — a quick-setup rooftop sleeper that gets the whole family off the ground and into bed in minutes. It's a serious touring setup straight off the floor.

Not locked in — your rooftop tent, your call

Prefer a different tent, or want to add an awning? You're not stuck with what's fitted. We stock Alu-Cab, Bundutec, Howling Moon, Ironman 4x4 and the full Metalian tent and awning range — and we'll swap the iKamper for the setup that suits how you travel, then re-quote accordingly. That's the point of buying from a real dealer with a workshop: you get the rig that fits you, not a fixed shelf product.

Water, hot water and a camp kitchen, sorted

Two 68 L tanks feed a pump, filter and tap, with a 5.5 L gas water heater and mixer tap giving you hot and cold running water at the kitchen, plus a gas point ready for your cooker. A full canvas caddie set is included to keep the camp kitchen packed and organised, trip after trip.

While stock lasts, this Maxi comes with a brand-new Flex TW75 dual-zone fridge/freezer — 75 L, cools all the way to -20 °C, runs off 12/24 V or mains, with Bluetooth app control, a built-in battery monitor and 3-stage battery protection. It drops straight onto the fitted full-extension fridge slide. Cold drinks and frozen meat, from the coast to the Kalahari.

Still a platform — build it out your way

The Maxi takes practically the entire 4Matt range. Add a full Victron power system with solar and lithium, a gas cooker, extra drawers, a roof rack, an awning, recovery gear or lighting — and we'll fit it for you in our workshop. Start here and grow it as your camping style grows.

Can I choose a different rooftop tent or awning?
Absolutely. It's shown with an iKamper 3.0 rooftop tent, but we'll swap it for an Alu-Cab, Bundutec, Howling Moon, Ironman 4x4 or Metalian setup — and add an awning — whatever fits how you travel, then re-quote accordingly.

What's the Flex TW75 fridge offer?
For a limited time, while stock lasts, we include a brand-new Flex TW75 75 L dual-zone fridge/freezer with this Maxi. It fits the trailer's full-extension fridge slide and runs off 12/24 V or mains.

What licence do I need to tow it?
With its braked off-road axle it tows as a Code EB trailer. We confirm your vehicle's towing capacity and your licence class with you before you buy.

Can I finance it or trade in my current setup?
Yes to both. We can help arrange finance and we welcome trade-ins. We're in Cape Town, Western Cape, with nationwide delivery.

Can I add more extras to this unit?
Yes — this Maxi is fully open to changes and add-ons. A canvas cutlery and crockery set, side panels, add-on rooms, a Metalian awning, a full power system, extra storage — any of it can be added or swapped on this unit. Tell us how you travel and we'll spec it and fit it before you collect.
