Why This Product

Almost every caravan solar install we do starts with a pair of 100W panels. Two 100W panels give you the same output as one 200W panel but far more freedom in where they go, which matters when the roof already has a hatch, an aerial and an air conditioner on it. They also let you split the array either side of an obstruction so a single shadow does not take out everything. Buying them as a pack is simply cheaper per watt than buying two singles, and you get panels from the same production batch, which keeps their output matched when they are wired in series. Monocrystalline cells earn their keep in South Africa. They hold up better in high ambient temperatures and give you more watts per square metre than polycrystalline, which is the metric that matters when roof space, not budget, is the constraint.

Optional Fitment & Upgrade Notes

Mounting brackets are not included, and the right choice depends on your roof. Drill-free corner brackets bond to a fibreglass or aluminium roof without penetrations, tilt brackets let you angle the array towards a low winter sun, and Z-brackets are the cheapest fixed option where you can drill. Whichever you use, seal every fastener properly. A leaking roof costs far more than the panel. Wire the pair in series for a 24V system or in parallel for 12V, and remember that parallel wiring needs branch connectors and doubles the current in the run to the controller, so check your cable gauge. Fit an in-line fuse on the positive lead. Leave a gap under the panels for airflow; a panel lying flat against a hot roof loses output.

Regulate the array with a unit from solar charge controllers, store it in a bank from lithium batteries and convert it with a unit from inverters and inverter chargers. FAQ

Series or parallel for two panels?
Series raises voltage and suits an MPPT controller and long cable runs. Parallel keeps the voltage low and suits a PWM controller. On a caravan with a modern MPPT unit, series is usually the better choice.

Will 200W keep my fridge running indefinitely?
For a typical 45L to 60L compressor fridge with a decent battery bank, yes, in good sun. Add a kettle or a microwave and 200W stops being enough.

Do I need brackets and cable as well?
Yes. Panels ship with their connector leads only. Brackets, extension cable, a controller and an in-line fuse are all separate.

Can I mix these with a panel I already have?
You can, but do not wire a mismatched panel in series with these. Different current ratings drag the whole string down to the weakest panel. Run the odd panel on its own controller input, or in parallel.

How much roof space do I need?
Each panel is roughly 1062 x 531 mm, so allow about 1.2 square metres for the pair plus a margin for brackets and airflow.
