Confirm with us at time of order whether a charge controller, carry bag and connecting leads are supplied with your unit, as blanket kits are configured differently depending on stock.

Optional Fitment & Upgrade Notes

A charge controller is required between the blanket and the battery unless one is included with the kit, and an MPPT unit will give you more on cold, bright mornings than a basic PWM controller. Because a blanket has no legs, plan how you will angle it: guy lines to a rack, a camp chair, or a north-facing slope all work well. Look after the surface. Do not drag it over gravel, never stand on it, and vary where you fold it rather than creasing the same line every time. Carry a decent MC4 extension lead in properly sized cable so you can put the blanket in full sun while the vehicle stays in shade.

Is 200W enough?
For most caravanners running a fridge, lights, a pump and device charging, yes, in reasonable sun. If you use an inverter heavily or camp in winter, consider the 400W blanket or a rigid suitcase.

Do I need a charge controller?
Yes, unless one is supplied with your kit. Panels must never be wired directly to a battery.

Blanket or rigid suitcase?
Blanket if packing space and weight decide it for you. Rigid suitcase if you want integrated legs and a tougher item you can set down and forget.

Can I fold it any way I like?
Fold it along its intended folds. Flexible panels handle folding well but dislike being creased hard in the same random spot repeatedly.

Can I connect two blankets together?
Usually yes, in parallel, provided your charge controller has the current headroom. Check with us first so we can confirm against your controller.
