Why This Product

The REGO DC-DC charger uses an Anderson PP75 connector. Your batteries have studs and take ring lugs. Optional Fitment & Upgrade Notes

Fuse the positive lead at the battery end. A DC-DC charger does not remove the need for over-current protection on the cable that feeds it, and an ANL or MRBF fuse close to the battery is standard practice. Route the cable away from exhaust heat and moving suspension components, and secure it every 300 mm or so; an unsecured cable under a caravan will eventually chafe through on a chassis edge. Check your tow vehicle before you commit: modern smart alternators vary their output voltage, and the DC-DC charger settings need to suit. If your run is longer than 1.5 m, use a longer cable of the same or heavier gauge rather than joining two of these together.

FAQ

Will it fit any DC-DC charger?
It is designed for Renogy REGO products that use the Anderson PP75 connector. Other brands use different connectors, so check yours first.

Is 6AWG heavy enough?
For a typical 30A to 50A DC-DC charger over 1.5 m, yes. For much higher currents or much longer runs, you need heavier cable.

Do the cables come with fuses?
No. Fuses and holders are separate, and the correct rating depends on the cable and the charger.

Can I use it to connect two batteries together?
Not ideally. It has an Anderson connector on one end, so it is an adapter, not an interconnect. Use a purpose-made battery interconnect cable for that.

Which end goes to the battery?
