The Renogy RBM500 500A Battery Monitor gives you a clear, accurate readout of your 12V battery system on a backlit LCD — voltage, current, consumed power and remaining capacity at a glance. Supplied with its own 500A shunt, it's a simple, wired way to always know exactly how much power you have left.
Guessing your battery level by voltage leads to flat batteries and over-discharge. The RBM500 measures the real current flowing in and out through its shunt, then shows true state-of-charge and consumed energy — with programmable alarms to warn you before you run too low.
4Matt Campers serves the Western Cape and Cape Town, and ships across South Africa — helping clients build reliable 12V and off-grid power systems. We'll help you wire and set up your battery monitoring correctly.
For accurate readings, it's worth confirming:

Does it come with the shunt?
Yes — the 500A shunt is included, along with the shielded cable and B+ wire.
App or panel display?
The RBM500 is a wired LCD panel monitor — ideal if you prefer a fixed display. For phone monitoring, see the Bluetooth CORE 300A shunt.
What can it tell me?
Live voltage and current, the power you've consumed, and your remaining battery capacity — with alarms to warn you before you run low.
