The Renogy Smart Distribution Box PMS1280 is the DC control centre of a modern caravan or motorhome electrical system. It takes a single 80 A feed from the battery and splits it into twelve individually fused and individually switchable load circuits, each with its own current sensor. It also reads tank levels, temperatures and voltage, and talks to a Renogy ONE display over CAN so you can see and switch every circuit from one screen or from your phone.
A conventional fuse block tells you nothing. When a light stops working you go looking with a multimeter, and you have no idea how much current any circuit is actually drawing. The PMS1280 replaces that fuse block with something that reports: blown fuse indicators on the unit itself, per-circuit current measurement, programmable low-voltage cut-outs so the battery is never flattened by a forgotten load, load shedding when capacity gets tight, and remote switching so you can turn the water pump off from bed. For anyone building a caravan with a Renogy ONE Core or ONE Vision display, this is the piece that turns a collection of components into a system you can actually see and control.

How many circuits can it control?
Twelve, each individually fused and switchable: eight rated to a maximum of 10 A and four rated to a maximum of 20 A, within an 80 A total.
Do I need a Renogy ONE display?
Not to distribute and protect power, but you do need one for remote monitoring, switching, alarms and the tank and temperature readouts. It communicates over CAN with the Renogy ONE series and ONE Vision.
Will it stop a forgotten load flattening my battery?
Yes. Low-voltage cut-out and high-voltage cut-in are user programmable, and load shedding can drop circuits automatically as the bank gets low.
Does it work on a 24 V system?
Yes, it supports both 12 V and 24 V DC.
How do I know which fuse has blown?
Each output has a blown fuse indicator on the unit, and each circuit has a current sensor, so a dead circuit shows itself without a multimeter.
