Optional Fitment & Upgrade Notes

The sender only makes sense as part of a monitoring system, so plan it alongside a Renogy Smart Distribution Box and a Renogy ONE display or the app. The distribution box carries four water level circuits, which means one sender per tank — fresh, grey and an auxiliary jerry tank can all be read independently on the same screen.

Measure your tank depth before ordering. The probe has to reach usefully into the tank without fouling the bottom, and a probe that is too short or too long will give you readings you cannot trust. Photograph the tank top, the available access aperture and note the internal depth, and we will check the fit with you.

Route the 7.5 metre lead away from heat, moving suspension components and sharp chassis edges, and secure it every 300mm or so. Gravel roads destroy unsupported cable faster than anything else on a caravan. Keep the run continuous — resist the urge to shorten and rejoin it, because a crimped join under the floor is where corrosion and intermittent readings begin.

Finally, calibrate after fitting. Fill and empty the tank once and check the reading tracks sensibly at full, half and empty, so you know what the display is telling you before you are three hundred kilometres from the nearest tap.

How deep a tank does the 200mm probe suit?
